Megan Dixon has been named as Dean College Women’s Basketball Head Coach.
Dixon joins Dean after serving as an assistant coach at Eastern Nazarene during the 2023-24 campaign before being named head coach in May 2024. She helped guide the Lions to a 12-12 record and a North Atlantic Conference Tournament appearance. Dixon assisted the team through skill development and effectively used scouting software to help form game plans and strategy. She aided in recruiting by evaluating talent and maintaining communication. She provided mentorship to athletes, which fostered personal and athletic growth. Additionally, she assisted with game-day operations, academic monitoring and in-game decision making.
A graduate of UMass-Boston, Dixon excelled on the hardwood for the Beacons as she holds two program-records and ranks eighth on the all-time scoring list with 1,090 career points. Dixon was twice named to the All-Little East Conference first team and earned a spot on the D3Hoops.com All-Region second team. She was a member of the UMass-Boston squad that captured the program’s first-ever Little East Conference championship and made its first NCAA Tournament appearance. Dixon was a two-time team captain and a four-time conference player of the week.
Dixon has worked camps and clinics at UMass-Boston and Boston College and has served as a head coach with the Breakout Basketball’s AAU program.
A native of Hanover, Massachusetts, Dixon holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from Eastern Nazarene College.
