Davis named Women’s Basketball Interim Head Coach at UC Santa Cruz

The UC Santa Cruz Athletics and Recreation Department has selected Scott Davis to serve as the Interim Head Coach for Women’s Basketball following a national search.

Scott joins the Banana Slugs with extensive experience in collegiate basketball, most recently serving as the Associate Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Dominican University (Ca.) with experience at Cal Poly, the College of Marin, and Saint Mary’s College. In his three seasons at Dominican, Davis accumulated an overall record of 81-20 along with a No. 5 national ranking. The Penguins won two California Pacific Conference championships and one conference tournament title with Davis. While at Cal Poly, Davis held an overall record of 50-37, notably leading the team to a 22-7 record while guiding the Broncos to the NCAA West Region Tournament.
