Daniels tabbed as new WBB DBO at New Orleans

Eleana Daniels has been added to the New Orleans Privateers women’s basketball staff as the new Director of Operations ahead of the 2023-24 season. Daniels was officially hired at the beginning of August.

Most recently, Daniels worked in Bloomington at Indiana as a student-athlete development specialist. She coordinated civic engagement through service opportunities and advised SAAC. Daniels was also the staff liaison for minority led student organizations.

“This is the most gratifying addition to my staff,” said Head Coach Trelanne Powell. Being able to hire one of my former players is beyond rewarding. Eleana has always been a great student with an outstanding work ethic on the court. She is multi-talented and will bring so much to the lives of these young women here.”

Daniels also worked as a volunteer coach at Florida A&M. Her internships include the Florida Sports Foundation and the Pac-12 Diversity Mentorship Program. Also at Florida A&M, Daniels worked as a graduate assistant in the College of Education.

Daniels finished her collegiate career at Tuskegee under Coach Powell after playing at Tallahassee and Coastal Alabama CC. Daniels was a team captain on the 2019-20 squad and was a two-time conference all-academic team member. She was also the first student-athlete Coach Powell signed at Tuskegee.

Daniels received her Masters in Education from Florida A&M in December 2022. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida A&M with a Bachelor of Science in Health, Physical Education and Fitness in July 2021.
