Daily Dirt – 7/2/13

A few things that I’ve heard today…

• I have heard that South Florida administrative assistant Miya McCurdy will become the video coordinator at Ohio State. She is a 2010 graduate of Rutgers who played overseas after graduation. An official announcement is expected shortly.

• I can confirm that Brittany Brown has been promoted to head coach at the Community College of Rhode Island. She spent the past two seasons as an assistant at CCRI. She replaces Kate Lynch who became the head coach at Molloy College (NY) earlier in the spring.

• South Dakota School of Mines is down to three finalists for their vacant head coach spot. They are: Kelly Kruger [former head coach – Adams State [CO], Jordan Bauer [assistant coach – Black Hills State (SD)], and Ryan Larson [assistant coach – University of South Dakota]. The three are in the hunt to replace Barb Felderman who retired after 32 seasons at the helm. The decision is expected sometime next week.
