A few things that I’ve heard…
• I have heard from a great source that new East Tennessee State head coach Brittney Ezell will hire Nikki Davis (Morehead State) and Brittany Burkhardt (Detroit-Mercy) as assistant coaches. Davis just wrapped up her first season at MSU. She played at both Alabama and Virginia Tech. Burkhardt spent the last two seasons as a GA at Detroit. She played collegiately at Saginaw Valley State. The official announcements are expected later today.
• I’ve heard that Marilyn Stephens is out as the head coach at Cheyney University (PA) and will be replaced by assistant coach Kyle Adams. Stephens went 29-99 in her 5 seasons at CU (including 1-50 over the past two seasons). Adams is a Cheyney alum who has also been an assistant on the men’s side at Lincoln (PA), and Rio Grande.
• I can confirm that Katie Greene is no longer the head coach at Newbury College (MA). She had been at the helm for the past six seasons (59-94). She also served as the assistant AD at Newbury. There is no word yet on the search for her replacement.
