Daily Dirt – 5/11/12

Some "dirt" for the end of the week…

• I have heard that Brad Phillips has resigned as head coach at Southwest Mississippi CC to take the Head Girl’s Basketball Coach at Southwest High School in Washburn, MO. Also, assistant coach Kenneth Michaud has left program to take the head men’s and women’s tennis coach position at Jacksonville College (TX). Taking over as the head coach for the Southwest Mississippi CC lady bears is Brent Harris. Harris spent the last 10 years as an assistant at Southeastern Louisiana University.

• Multiple sources are reporting that Krista Ragan-Binam is involved with an assistant spot at Oral Roberts. The former ORU All-American and two-time Summit League MVP has been a HS coach for the past nine seasons (158-66). New ORU head coach Misti Cussen was an assistant at ORU when Ragan-Binam played there.

• I have heard that Chloe Mosey will become the new head coach at Olympic College (WA). She is a recent graduate of Montana Western and helped out at Crosspoint Academy (WA) last season. Look for the official announcement any day.

• Sources have told me that Thomas Slifka, former Head Coach at Kent State University-Tuscarawas

has accepted an Assistant position at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta.
