Daily Dirt – 4/12/12

Here are a few things that I’ve heard over the past 24 hours….

• It sounds like Penn State head coach Coquese Washington has interviewed for the vacant Michigan job. Washington, who has spent the past five seasons at the helm at Penn State is a Flint, Michigan native and was an all-state HS player at Flint Central. She played collegiately at Notre Dame and spent two-years in the WNBA with the NY Liberty. She has a 92-67 in her five seasons at PSU (26-7 this season).

• I have heard that Florida Southern head coach Jarrod Olson will be the choice at California Baptist. He would replace interim head coach Jeff Caha. Caha, who replaced John Marcum in the middle of the season, is apparently not interested in returning to CBU as an assistant.

• Pretty interesting article on the incentives built into new Hawaii head coach Laura Beeman’s contract. My favorites – $1,000 bonus for every "away" victory and $1,000 for every home crowd of 2,000 or more.
