A few things that I’ve heard….

Multiple sources have said that North Texas head coach Karen Aston has interviewed for the Texas job. This past season was her first at UNT – she had spent the previous four as the head coach at Charlotte (86-47). Before that, she spent 8 seasons (1998-2006) as an assistant at Texas. During her eight seasons at Texas, the Longhorns posted a 173-83 record and made seven NCAA Tournament appearances, including two appearances in the Sweet 16 and a trip to the Final Four in 2003.

Trinity Valley co-head coaches Michael and Kenya Landers have submitted their resignations. Word on the street is that they will BOTH join Adrian Wiggins new staff at Ole Miss. In their two seasons as co-head coaches, they went 70-3. Michael is expected to be the DBO, while Kenya will be an assistant (and recruiting coordinator).

Sounds like Colorado State will be losing three staff members. I’ve heard that assistant coaches Taylor Steven and Sara Hemmings and DBO Corey Steven have all resigned. The official word is that they are “pursuing other opportunities”. Assistant Dick Lien will remain on staff.

According to a great source, it appears that Mt. St. Vincent (NY) interim head coach Candice Redman will not have her contract renewed and the college will begin a national search. Redman took over for Gerald Davis who resigned just prior to this season. Her squad went 7-17.
