Brian Tumpowsky has been named the new Head Coach for Yeshiva University’s Women’s Basketball for the upcoming 2026-2027 season.
Tumpowsky joins the Maccabees following a breadth of experiences at all levels of basketball competition. After founding and serving as head coach for an AAU program for over 10 years, Tumpowsky was hired as a Men’s Assistant Coach and then promoted to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Bucks County Junior College. From there, he was added to the staff at Harvard University, serving as the Coordinator of Program Management and Analytics for their women’s basketball program. He then joined Princeton University’s staff, performing multiple duties across the program’s operations, including strategy, practice planning, player development, and analytics.
In the last 4 years, Tumpowsky’s teams have won 3 Conference championships, including 2 Ivy League Championships accolades that have led to 2 NCAA Tournament appearances and multiple All-Academic honorees. He brings to YU a swath of experience working with exceptional talent, having coached multiple professional players, as well as having been mentored by two of the best coaches in all of college basketball.
Tumpowsky resides with his wife, Mindy, in Princeton, NJ. They have two daughters, Madeleine and Ashley.
