The University of Valley Forge Athletic Department has announced that Gretchen LeVan will step down from her role as Head Women’s Basketball Coach. She will shift away from coaching responsibilities to focus on the department as a whole.
In February, Gretchen LeVan completed her eleventh consecutive season as Head Women’s Basketball Coach. She has coached the Patriots to 101 wins, including five double-digit win seasons and five postseason appearances. Her tenure with Valley Forge featured a 2017-18 ACAA Conference Championship for the program’s first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance.
The University of Valley Forge community is grateful for the contributions that Coach Gretchen has made toward the Women’s Basketball program, and is thrilled to have her continue in her role as Athletic Director, a position she has held since 2017.
LeVan will assume the Interim Women’s Basketball Coach title as the University concludes its hiring process.
