Erin Eaton is no longer the head women’s basketball coach at Heidelberg University following allegations of verbal, mental, and emotional abuse made by players and parents within the program According to WTOL 11. The situation first surfaced in December when student-athletes and families called for Eaton’s dismissal, claiming her behavior went beyond tough coaching.

According to reports, Eaton’s departure came this week after parents and current players met with university leadership to discuss concerns about the program. A lawsuit against the university is also reportedly being prepared, alleging retaliation against players who previously spoke out.

Heidelberg has gone 4-46 (.080) during Eaton’s two seasons at the helm. She has also been the head coach at Pitt-Greensburg (2010-17), and Muskingum (2019-22).
