Pueblo native and former Colorado Christian assistant Janean Jubic has been named the top assistant with the CSU-Pueblo women’s basketball program.
Jubic comes to CSU-Pueblo after a two-year stint at Colorado Christian University. While with the Cougars, she helped lead Colorado Christian to the 2012 National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) National Championship as well as coached the program’s junior varsity team. A year earlier, while serving as a student assistant, she helped the Cougars reach their first ever NCAA Division II Tournament.
Prior to arriving at CCU, Jubic played for four seasons at UC-Colorado Springs, where she was a three-time Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll selection.
Jubic replaces longtime assistant Leslie Haywood, who resigned to return to her native Denver where she will take the same position with Colorado School of Mines.
