Crisp named Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach at Campbell

Campbell head women’s basketball coach Ali Jaques has announced the addition of Moriah Crisp to the coaching staff. She will serve as an assistant coach and the recruiting coordinator.

“I am very excited to bring Coach Moriah Crisp into our program as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator,” Jaques stated. “Coach and I worked together briefly at George Washington. I was impressed with her from Day One and followed her progress in the business closely since then. Her energy and enthusiasm are infectious. She is a rising star in our business, and she will be a great resource for our current and future players. She is also someone with high character who has roots in the CAA as a former player. I am grateful she is onboard!”

“I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity to serve as the Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for Campbell University,” said Crisp, who is the first assistant added to the new coaching staff. “I’m ready to get to work and help build on the women’s basketball program’s success. Coach Jaques is an experienced and relentless worker, and I’m excited to learn under her leadership and be part of this program!”

Crisp comes to Buies Creek after spending the past two seasons as an assistant coach at Marist. Four players earned All-MAAC honors under her tutelage.

Working primarily with the point guard play, Crisp helped lead the Red Foxes to 16 wins and 11 MAAC victories in 2024-25, more than doubling the wins from the previous season.

That same season, Crisp was named to the prestigious WBCA Thirty Under 30 List.

Crisp spent the 2023-24 campaign as a video analyst with the Fordham women’s basketball program. Before her time as a Ram, Crisp served the previous two seasons at Fordham’s Atlantic 10 rival George Washington as a graduate assistant, earning her master’s degree in Sports Management.

While with the Colonials, she provided scout reporting assistance, facilitated player development, tracked performance statistics, reviewed game film, conducted prospect player evaluations, coordinated student-athlete visits, and managed the recruiting schedule. She also designed many of the team’s social media graphics and highlight reels.

Originally from Waldorf, Md., Crisp played for four years from 2016-20 at UNC Wilmington, spending three years as a team captain, appearing in 99 career games with 45 starts. She scored 342 points for her career, averaging 3.5 per game, with 246 assists, a clip of 2.5 per contest. Crisp was also selected to the CAA Academic Honor Roll as a senior.
