Cori Smith Named Boise State Women’s Basketball Director of Operations

Cori Smith has joined the Boise State women’s basketball staff as the director of operations, head coach Gordy Presnell announced.
 
Smith comes to Boise after spending a season as an assistant coach at Treasure Valley Community College. Prior to TVCC, she was the director of operations at Utah State for two years.
 
In her role with the Broncos, she coordinates team travel and helps schedule practices. In addition, she serves as the liaison between the coaching staff and support staff.
 
In 2017-18, Smith was a graduate assistant coach at Seattle Pacific. The Falcons posted a 23-8 record and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Championship.
 
Smith began her career as a high school basketball coach. While working full-time in the mental health field, she spent a combined three seasons at Ballard High School (Seattle, Wash.) and Edmonds-Woodway High School (Edmonds, Wash.).
 
A 2008 graduate of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in communication, Smith has earned master’s degree in counseling psychology from Seattle School of Theology & Psychology (2014) and intercollegiate athletic leadership from Washington (2018).
