Colclough Added to Marshall Women’s Basketball Staff

Marshall University women’s basketball head coach Tony Kemper announced the addition of former Herd women’s basketball student-athlete Kennedi Colclough to his staff as special assistant to the head coach/creative coordinator on Monday.

“We are really excited to welcome Kennedi back in a new role,” Kemper said. “It is a special nod to your culture and atmosphere when you have former student-athletes who want to come home and be a part of the program. Kennedi brings enthusiasm and expertise that will move our program in areas on and off the floor. She will head up all of our community outreach and coordinate our social media presence. I know she is ready to get to work.”

Colclough played two seasons at Marshall (2020-21, 2021-22) after transferring from Stetson. She appeared and started in 43 games during her career in the Green and White. The Crofton, Maryland, native averaged 10.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game while shooting 45.5 percent from the field at Marshall. Colclough recorded three double-doubles in her two seasons for the Herd, 11 total in her collegiate career, and was a two-time Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll honoree for having a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

“I am grateful to receive this position and excited to take on this new role with the team.” Colclough said. “I love this program and believe in what we want to get accomplished. Marshall has a special place in my heart and I’m excited to continue being a part of the Herd women’s basketball family.”
