The Charleston Southern women’s basketball team continues to make changes to their staff, as they announce the promotion of Assistant Coach Ashley Reddick to Associate Head Coach.
“It is a great honor to promote Ashley [Reddick] to the position of Associate Head Coach,” said Head Coach Clarisse White. “She has been an integral part in implementing the vision to build a championship caliber program through her recruiting efforts, basketball savvy and commitment to driving culture. It is exciting for her to be able to step into this role, as her investment and loyalty have garnered the respect of our players, staff and colleagues. She will undoubtedly continue to shine in service to our program and the Charleston Southern community.”
Reddick was one of the original hires that Head Coach Clarisse White‘s made prior to her first season, as she was hired as an assistant coach prior to the 2021-22 season. She has worked with the guards and has served as the team’s recruiting coordinator.
During her time at Charleston Southern, Reddick has helped recruit and develop some of the top players in the Big South, including Catherine Alben, who was a Big South All-Freshman guard in 2022-23 and a Big South All-Conference second-team recipient in 2023-24.
Statement from Ashley Reddick:
“I am honored and humbled to be named Associate Head Coach for the Charleston Southern women’s basketball program. It reflects the trust and confidence that Coach [Clarisse] White has placed in me. I would like to special thank you to Coach [Clarisse] White for always supporting my growth and continued development. I would also like to thank our former and current student athletes that have contributed to molding me into a better coach. I look forward to my expanded role to continue to build on the foundation we have laid together as a program. Let’s climb the ladder. Go Bucs!”
Prior to joining CSU, Reddick had multiple stops in the coaching profession, serving as a coach for the Atlanta Bucks AAU basketball team in 2020-21. Prior to that, she was a coach for Nike ProSkills of the Elite Youth Basketball League from 2015-19.
Reddick’s coaching career began in 2011 at her Alma Mater, Oklahoma Wesleyan University, where she spent four seasons as the top assistant coach. During that time, Reddick developed three NAIA All-Americans, and the Eagles won a MCAC Championship and made three appearances in the NAIA National Tournament.
As a player at Oklahoma Wesleyan, Reddick was one of the best shooters in the MCAC from 2007-09, as she was top 10 in assists, free throw percentage, three-point shooting and overall scoring during her time in Bartlesville. Prior to joining the Eagles, she spent two seasons at Seminole State College from 2005-07.
