Chapman named Director of Women’s Basketball Operations at Wright State

 Wright State women’s basketball head coach Kari Hoffman has announced the addition of Emily Chapman as the Director of Operations. 

Chapman is coming off a successful five-year collegiate playing career, spending four seasons at Cedarville University (2018-22) before joining Wright State for the 2022-23 campaign. 

The Proctorville, Ohio native was a two-time All-GMAC First Team selection, highlighted by NCCAA All-America Second Team honors in 2021. She totaled 1,276 career points with the Yellow Jackets, good for 22nd in school history. Chapman helped Cedarville win two GMAC regular season championships and earn an at-large bid to the 2021 NCAA Division II Regional.

In her lone season at Wright State, Chapman averaged 9.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.0 steals while also leading the team in 3-point shooting percentage (.437), free throw percentage (.857) and minutes per game (30.0). She ranked fourth in the Horizon League in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.5) and eighth in assists per game

Chapman earned her bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership with a minor in marketing from Wright State in 2023.
