Central Missouri Women’s Basketball Staff Update

Central Missouri head women’s basketball coach Dave Slifer has announced a pair of assistant coach additions as Jennies Basketball turns to the 2021 – 2022 academic year. Josh Keister returns to Central Missouri as a familiar face, having spent five seasons with Jennies Basketball, while Lindsey Holt arrives after spending the last two years Northwest Missouri State.

Josh Keister last served as an assistant coach for Central Missouri during the 2013 – 2014 season, wrapping up a five year stretch that featured a 106-46 record including the MIAA Regular Season and MIAA Tournament Championships in his final season. Since that time, Keister has served as an associate head coach at Indiana State (2014 – 2018) and was named interim head coach for the Sycamores on January 2nd, 2018 for the remainder of the season as he led the squad to a fifth place finish in the Missouri Valley Conference. He left for the University of Nebraska Omaha for the 2018 – 2019 season and has most recently served as the director of an AAU basketball program in Omaha, Nebraska.

Jennies head coach Dave Slifer on Keister’s return: “Josh brings passion and experience to Jennies Basketball that will be a great addition to the program. As a familiar face to the Jennies’ program, we’re excited to welcome him back to Warrensburg.”

Keister on rejoining the Jennies: “I’m excited to reconnect with the Central Missouri family and hit the ground running. This is a special place and I’m proud to be a part of it.”

Lindsey Holt arrives in Warrensburg after two seasons with the women’s basketball program at Northwest Missouri State. Holt served the program in a number of ways including off-the-court work with scouting, logistics, recruiting , and more. Prior to her two years with the Bearcats, Holt served as a women’s basketball graduate assistant at Doane University in Crete, Nebraska. Beyond her collegiate experience, Holt has a number of years in youth and high school coaching and development. 

Slifer on the addition of Holt: “Given her MIAA experience and basketball knowledge, Lindsey will be a great addition to Jennie Ball. We’re thrilled to have her drive and experience in our program.”

Holt on joining the Jennies: “I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to join this staff. There is no doubt this is a special team with the ability and opportunity to achieve what most athletes only dream of. I feel blessed to be a part of it all. Go Jens!”
