Head coach Peter Cinella and the Fairleigh Dickinson women’s basketball program have announced the hiring of Cathy Inglese as an assistant coach.
“We are excited to add Cathy to our program,” said Cinella. “I have known Cathy for a long time and have always been impressed with her attention to detail and knowledge of the game.”
He added, “She is a teacher and will be a huge help to our staff. We are all very enthusiastic about this upcoming season and our great potential.”
Inglese has 27 years of head coaching experience at the Division I level – seven at Vermont, 15 at Boston College and five at Rhode Island.
Over her 27 years on the bench, Inglese has reached 20 wins 11 times, made 10 NCAA Tournaments, coached six WNBA Draft picks, was a four-time conference coach of the year, three Sweet 16 appearances, three conference tournament titles, two regular season titles. Inglese also coached back-to-back perfect regular seasons at Vermont.
Fifty-two players have made all-conference teams under Inglese, who maintained a perfect graduation rate, and who has won over 400 games.
