Toland resigns as Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Allen University
Allen University Women’s Basketball Coach, Toccara Toland, has resigned her position as head coach, effective immediately. “I appreciate the time Coach Toland served as our head women’s basketball coach,” commented Director of Athletics, Jasher Cox. “Efforts are underway to find her successor.” Toland served as the head coach at Allen for three seasons winning 26 games
Illinois Central College Women’s Basketball Staff Update
Longtime Peoria-area natives, Heather Cassady and Harvey Mitchell, have joined the Illinois Central College women’s basketball team as assistant coaches. Cassady, a Dunlap native, most recently served as the Dunlap High School girls’ basketball coach from 2013-2023, while Mitchell (Peoria Heights alum) returns home after serving as a coach at Radford High School in Radford, Virginia.
