HOT RUMOR: Washington to stay at Penn State

After much speculation, Penn State head coach Coquese Washington will be staying at Penn State according to some close to the situation. thefourth-year head coach interviewed at Michigan last week, but it now appears that she will remain a Nittany Lion. The Michigan native is 66-60 during her tenure, including a 25-10 campaign in 2011-12.

North Texas Names Coach

The University of North Texas has named Mike Petersen as its seventh women’s basketball coach. Petersen has been the head coach at Wake Forest since 2004 and is the school’s all-time winningest coach. He is a coaching veteran with over 30 years of experience, including three seasons as the head coach at TCU.

BREAKING: Western Michigan hires Clipfell

Trinity Valley Community College is expected to name Elena Lovato as the new WBB head coach. A press conference is tentatively scheduled for Thursday. Lovato was an assistant at Nebraska-Omaha last season – before that, she was an assistant at TVCC. She also spent one season as the head coach at Grayson County CC.
