HOT: Purdue assistant resigns

Purdue assistant Martin Clapp has resigned effective immediately. According WISH-TV 8 in Indiana, to he was arrested early Thursday morning on a preliminary charge of Operating While Intoxicated. He had been at Purdue for the past six seasons, and is also the former head coach at Louisville.

HOT RUMOR: Winston-Salem St. to hire Hall

Multiple sources are reporting that A.G. Hall will become the new head coach at Winston-Salem State. He will replace Steve Joyner who departed in July to become the head coach at Johnson C. Smith. Hall has most recently been an assistant at Bethune-Cookman, and has high-major experience as an assistant at both Providence and Clemson.

Minnesota State finalists

There are two finalists for the vacant women’s basketball position at Minnesota State. The two candidates are vying to replace Pam Gohl who departed in early July to become the compliance coordinator/senior women’s administrator at the University of Sioux Falls.
