USC women’s basketball coach Michael Cooper has resigned from his position, Trojan athletic director Pat Haden announced today. The Women of Troy went 11-20 this season and finished seventh in the Pac-12 in 2013 with a 7-11 mark.

HOT RUMOR: ETSU’s Kemp to retire

Multiple sources are reporting that East Tennessee State head coach Karen Kemp will announce her retirement today. She has been the head coach at ETSU since 1994 (272-277). I will pass along the official announcement once it is released.

Clemson rumor…

According to multiple sources, Clemson head coach Itoro Coleman is expected to be fired today. She played at Clemson, and has also been an assistant there. Since taking over as the head coach three seasons ago, she has compiled a 25-63 record. More on this as it becomes official.

Angelo State rumor

Multiple sources have told me that Angelo State head coach Sally Brooks has resigned. She has won 251 games at ASU since she took over in 2000. She also spent nine seasons as the head coach at Incarnate Word and has 406 career victories. Angelo State fired the men’s basketball staff earlier this week. More
