Director of Athletics Ed Kull has announced that current assistant coach Candice Green will take over as Fordham women’s basketball’s interim head coach and will retain the current staff for the upcoming 2022-23 season.
Green will be considered when Fordham conducts a national search for a permanent head coach following the conclusion of the season.
The East Brunswick, N.J. native is entering her fourth season in the Bronx. Over her three seasons with the program, the Rams have a 51-28 record overall and 27-13 in conference play, with two straight WNIT appearances the last two years and what should’ve been a third had the 2019-20 season not been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to that, she spent three years on the staff at her alma mater, Colgate.
