The NM State Women’s Basketball program is proud to announce the hiring of Myron Brown as its new assistant coach.
A Detroit native, Brown brings nearly two decades of coaching experience to the Aggies, most recently serving as the Director of Player Development at Oakland University for the past two seasons. In this role, he played a key part in student-athlete development and program success.
Prior to his tenure at Oakland, Brown spent a season as an assistant coach at the University of North Florida, where he contributed to game planning, skill development, and recruiting efforts.
Before joining the Division I ranks, Brown served as the head coach at Thomas University for five seasons. While leading the Nighthawks, he built a competitive and disciplined program, producing numerous all-conference and all-academic selections. His responsibilities included offensive and defensive game planning, recruiting strategy and player development.
Brown holds a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science from Rochester University.
