Brooke Orcutt Named Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Case Western

Brooke Orcutt, a 2015 graduate of Case Western Reserve University and a multiple-time All-UAA player, has been named the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at her alma mater.

Orcutt replaces Alexandra Dellas, who was recently named the head coach at her alma mater, Hiram College, after spending two years on Head Coach Jennifer Reimer’s bench.

Orcutt was a standout player for the women’s basketball team at Case Western Reserve, earning selection to the All-UAA Team her sophomore, junior and senior years, including a pair of nods to the Second Team.  She currently ranks eighth in school history with 551 career rebounds, ninth with 231 career assists and 19th with 905 career points.

“We are so fortunate to have Brooke return as our assistant coach,” said Reimer.  “Her experience as an All-UAA player, her knowledge of the league, and her love for CWRU will mean great things for the continued success of our women’s basketball program.”

After receiving her undergraduate degree from Case Western Reserve with a major in Nutrition and a minor in Sports Medicine, she went on to receiver her Masters’ Degree in Nutrition, also from CWRU.  She is a registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and a member of both the Sports Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition and the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitians Association.

Case Western Reserve opens its 2017-18 campaign at home against Denison University at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15th.
