Alcorn State head coach Tonya Edwards will not have her contract renewed when it expires at the end of the month. Edwards had been at ASU since 2008 and compiled a 60-147 record over that time. She won national championships as a player at Tennessee in 1987 and ’89 and scored 1,309 points in her career. She also played in the WNBA. Before coming to ASU, she was an assistant at Detroit-Mercy.
