Bradley women’s basketball head coach Kate Popovec-Goss returned to the sidelines on Saturday following a ten game suspension.
Popovec-Gross was suspended from her duties as head coach for the remainder of the non-conference season back on November 12th for undisclosed reasons.
In a post game presser following last night’s 78-74 loss at Illinois State, Popovec-Gross said, “I’m happy to be back. I’m grateful for the support. I’m grateful that our girls are happy to have me back. I just enjoy this group a lot. You don’t take that for granted as a coach. This job is really hard, and you walk in the gym and you look at your team and you can have fun with them, that’s such a win. That was the hardest part of being away from them: I just genuinely enjoy being with them every day, watching them grow and evolve.”
Bradley is currently 4-8 (0-1 MVC) and on a three game losing streak.
