Kristina Baugh has resigned as head women’s basketball coach, Barry University vice president Scott F. Smith announced today.
Baugh departs The Shores after three seasons at the helm of the Buccaneers, leading them to a 35-31 record, including 21-19 in the Sunshine State Conference. Barry reached the SSC Tournament all three years under Baugh, including the Bucs’ first-ever road conference tournament win over Saint Leo in 2022, as they advanced to the semifinals.
Baugh mentored Harriet Swindells to a first-team All-SSC season in 2020-21 season, Chiara Fusari to a second-team berth the same year and K’Nari Holliday to a Freshman of the Year award this season. Swindells set the Barry University career mark for made three-pointers with 270 as a senior in 2021-22.
Assistant coach Rodd Woods will serve as acting coach as the Bucs begin an immediate search for her replacement.
