Monmouth University Head Women’s Basketball Coach Ginny Boggess has announced the addition of Sean Bair as an assistant coach. Bair comes to West Long Branch from Penn State, where he served as the Director of Video & Analytics.
“Sean is a home run hire and the perfect fit to round out our staff,” said Boggess. “An ardent connector and mentor, I’ve seen first-hand how much Sean pours into a program. He won my respect at Penn State with his industrious work ethic and quickly proved to also have a very advanced basketball mind and be a natural teacher of the game. We are beyond thrilled to welcome Sean, his wife Alex, and their daughters Ada and Willa to the Nest.”
While at Penn State, Bair used video and analytics to increase the team’s conference wins by six, including a victory over #15 Ohio State. His duties included producing player development videos, evaluating recruits, and creating post-game reports.
He previously worked as a graduate assistant coach with Arkansas men’s basketball. While with the Razorbacks, he worked extensively on recruiting graphics, logistical organization, camp and strategic research, while assisting in several other aspects of the program.
Prior to his time at Arkansas, Bair was the head boys basketball coach at New Oxford (Pa.) High School from 2013-19, earning 2019 GameTimePA Coach of the Year honors. He finished with three-straight winning seasons, including two trips to PIAA 5A postseason in 2017 and ’18 and posting 20-plus wins in 2018 and ’19.
A Gettysburg, PA native, Bair earned his bachelor’s degree in History from Dickinson College in 2012 and is working towards a master’s degree in Adult and Lifelong Learning from Arkansas.
