Zenarae Antoine announced today she is stepping down as head coach of Texas State University women’s basketball after 15 seasons at the helm of the program.
Antoine steps away from TXST as the program’s all-time winningest coach, leading the Bobcats to five postseason appearances, and was named the 2023 Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year following a Sun Belt regular season championship.
“Texas State Athletics thanks Zenarae Antoine for leading our women’s basketball program and for her immeasurable contributions to the university over the past 15 seasons,” said Director of Athletics Don Coryell. “Coach Antoine played a pivotal role in elevating the program and guiding the Bobcats to new levels of success during her tenure. We are deeply appreciative of her dedication to the university, TXST Athletics, and the many student-athletes she mentored during her time at the helm. We wish Zenarae, Ronald and their family all the best moving forward.
“TXST Athletics is entering an important era in its history, as not only a foundational member of the new Pac-12 Conference but also across the broader landscape of college athletics. Our focus remains on positioning our programs to compete at the highest level within the conference and nationally, and we are committed to investing the resources necessary to achieve our goals.”
