After four seasons at the helm, Pacific Lutheran University Head Women’s Basketball Coach Lee Aduddell has decided to step down from the position to pursue opportunities outside the coaching profession.
“After a lot of reflection, I have decided to step aside from coaching to focus more fully on my family and other priorities at this time. This has been a difficult decision, as working with this team has been an incredibly meaningful part of my life. I am proud of what we have accomplished together, and I am deeply grateful for the support, trust, and dedication shown by our athletes, staff, and community,” said Aduddell.
“I want to thank Mike and the administration for trusting me to lead this program. While I will no longer be on the sidelines, I will always be cheering for the Lutes and look forward to seeing its continued success.”
Aduddell guided the Lutes over the last four seasons, helping the team set school records for three-pointers in a game (14 vs Texas Lutheran on 11/22/23) and in a season (156 in 2023-2024). Aduddell engineered the Lutes’ best non-conference record since 2006 during the 2023-2024 campaign, going 8-1 against non-Northwest Conference opponents. Aduddell’s squad ranked 21st nationally in 2023 in the WBCA’s Academic Top 25 with a 3.684 grade point average. She additionally coached five All-Conference players, 11 CSC Academic All-District players, and the 2023 NWC Rookie of the Year.
“I would like to thank Lee for her dedication to the women’s basketball program, this department and the institution overall. She poured her heart into this role and that is all we can ask. I wish her the best of luck on the next chapter,” said Athletic Director Mike Snyder.
The Lutes will begin a nationwide search for the next head coach.
