Adair Announces Additions to Delaware Women’s Basketball Coaching Staff

New Delaware women’s basketball head coach Natasha Adair proudly announced the addition of top-rate coaching personnel to the Blue Hens family Tuesday.

Adair, who was hired on May 15 as the fourth head coach in program history, welcomes Sarah Jenkins and Mykala Walker as assistant coaches while Kayla Miller ’13 will remain on staff for her third season as the director of operations and David White will fill the role of assistant director of basketball operations and program management.

SARAH JENKINS |  Assistant Coach |  Georgetown ’05  |  Bowie, Md.  |  @COACH_SCJ22
· Responsibilities:  Coordinating recruiting efforts, working with perimeter players
· Spent past three seasons as an assistant coach under Adair at Georgetown
· Helped guide the Hoyas to their first postseason appearance since 2011-12
· Developed All-BIG EAST selections Dorothy Adomako and Dionna White; Adomako was also tabbed the BIG EAST Freshman of the Year
· More than eight years of coaching experience with stops at The Geneva School (Fla.) and Winter Park High School (Fla.) where she led squads to a pair of district championships as well as two regional final appearances
· Played four seasons at Georgetown, where she was a BIG EAST Academic All-Star, served as a two-year captain and finished career amongst all-time leaders with 54 career 3-pointers

· Responsibilities:  Growth and development of interior players
· Previously served as assistant director of basketball operations (2016-17) and graduate assistant (2014-16) for Adair at Georgetown University
· Four-year standout at Wake Forest that was a part of the winningest class in program history
· Represented the Demon Deacons women’s basketball team as a member of the Athletic Director’s Council, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and helped create the Black and Golden Globe Awards
· Helped lead her high school basketball program to historic accomplishments, including the first-ever appearance in the state Class 5A Final Four

· Responsibilities:  Oversight of travel arrangements, practice scheduling, team managers and administrative duties
· Will begin her third season in role during the 2017-18 campaign
· As a player, helped guide the Hens to back-to-back CAA titles and a NCAA Sweet 16 appearance
· Finished playing career ranked 14th in program history with 256 assists and ranked 17th nationally with a 2.18 assist to turnover ratio as a senior
· Dedicated advocate for service and helping others as a volunteer with Special Olympics of Delaware, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Delaware, Kay’s Kamp, Ronald McDonald House and A.I. DuPont Children’s Hospital amongst numerous other organizations

· Responsibilities:  Video coordination, assist with scheduling and scouting in addition to assisting with administrative duties
· Spent past three seasons at Georgetown as the director of basketball operations
· Previously spent time at the College of Charleston (director of operations) and Wake Forest (video assistant)
· Served as a student manager at North Carolina under legendary head coaches Sylvia Hatchell and Roy Williams
