Dawn Staley hit another major milestone on February 14, as she recorded her 500th win at University of South Carolina with a 79-72 victory over Louisiana State University in an SEC showdown.
The win also marked Staley’s 18th straight victory over LSU – a streak that spans 14 years.
Now in her 18th season leading the Gamecocks, Staley is the winningest head coach in program history and owns an impressive .817 winning percentage at South Carolina.
In her 26th season overall as a head coach – including her tenure at Temple University – Staley has compiled a 672-192 (.778) career mark. Her career winning percentage ranks eighth nationally among active Division I head coaches and 10th all-time.
