Holsinger resigns as Women’s Basketball Coach at Montana

Montana women’s basketball head coach Brian Holsinger has resigned from his position according to a statement released by the Griz Athletics Department:

Brian Holsinger resigned today as head coach of the University of Montana women’s basketball program. Nate Harris will continue to lead the team as interim head coach through the remainder of this season, after which a search will be conducted for a permanent head coach.

Holsinger had taking “personal time off” since January 16th.

During his nearly four seasons at Montana, Holsinger compiled a 61-47 (.565) record, including a 23-10 mark last season.

Harris, who had been serving as the associate head coach before assuming the interim tag, had worked as the head coach at D2 Angelo State before joining the Grizz staff back in 2021.
