Oakland University Athletics has announced that head women’s basketball coach Jeff Tungate has retired effective immediately after leading the program for 12 seasons. Associate head coach Deanna Richard will serve as interim head coach for the remainder of the season.    

During his tenure at Oakland, Tungate put together a 145-188 (.435) record, which includes a 3-6 mark so far this season.

OU Athletics will conduct a national search for the head coach position.
