Boston University director of athletics Drew Marrochello has announced that Head Women’s Basketball Coach Melissa Graves has recently signed multi-year contract extension.
Entering her fourth season with the Terriers, Graves has amassed a 61-35 record at the helm. The 2022-23 Patriot League Coach of the Year has won 39 conference games during her tenure, the most in the Patriot League in that span. She has guided BU to consecutive Patriot League championship appearances as well as 20-plus wins the past two seasons, and helped BU earn its first Patriot League regular season title in 2022-23. Under Graves’ tutelage, 13 Terriers have garnered All-Patriot League recognition.
“I am incredibly grateful to Drew Marrochello, our senior administration, and this amazing university for their continued support of BU Women’s Basketball,” said Graves. “Terrier Town is a special place, and I am blessed to have the opportunity to be here. My staff and I look forward to continuing to enhance our program’s culture, competitive excellence and academic success, as we work for a Patriot League championship.”
The Terriers open their season on Monday November 4th at home vs crosstown rival Northeastern at 4:30pm.
