Montevallo Women’s Basketball Head Coach Olivia Chapman has announced the addition of Bri Crane to her coaching staff.
“We are very excited to add Bri to our program,” said Chapman. “I have known her since she was a high school student athlete and reconnected with her when she transitioned into coaching. Her passion for basketball goes beyond the game itself. Coach Bri has established herself as a developer of young people; training, coaching and mentoring athletes at the high school, college, and professional levels. She also brings with her recruiting connections in the Birmingham-Metro area and a wealth of knowledge of the game. Both her playing and coaching experience will help her and add value to our program.”
Before joining the staff at Montevallo, Crane served as the Varsity Assistant Coach at A.H. Parker High School from 2021-2024. At Parker, Crane’s roles included pregame preparations, recording game scores and statistics, skills training and development, strength and conditioning training, and coaching the junior varsity team. Crane helped lead the Lady Bison to the Elite Eight for the first time in eight years.
The Birmingham, Ala. native also spent time training young student-athletes at a variety of different camps including Sherrod Basketball Camp, Mike Jack Elite Camp, Jameis Winston Dream Forever Camp, and Just Win.
Crane attended Murray State University and the University of Arkansas-Little Rock. As a freshman at Murray State, Crane was second in the Ohio Valley Conference in field goal percentage and second in plus-minus efficiency rating. Crane averaged 14.1 points and 4.1 rebounds at Little Rock during the 2020-21 season.
Crane received her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies: Psychology, Communications, and Health Science at Little Rock.
