Cathy Parson is no longer the head women’s basketball coach at D2 Central State University (OH).

Parson, a veteran head coach, was hired at CSU back in 2020. During her time at the helm of the Marauders, she compiled a 30-49 (.380) record, which includes a 13-15 (9-10 SIAC) mark this past season.

In addition to her time at CSU, Parson has also served as the head coach at Christopher Newport (1988-98), Howard (2000-08), and Frostburg State (2013-14). She holds an overall career record of 326-279 (.539) in 22-seasons as a head coach. Parson also worked as a D1 assistant at both Richmond (1999-00), and Providence College (1985-88), and served as the interim head coach of the WNBA’s Washington Mystics.
