Lees-McRae Head Women’s Basketball Coach Keith ‘Mister’ Jennings announced the hiring of Malikah Meyers as an assistant coach after a three-year standout career with the Bobcats. Meyers joins the Bobcats staff after graduating in May 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
“Malikah Meyers is a wonderful addition to my staff,” said Jennings. “Being a former player and former captain of our team, she is proving to be excellent in recruiting and the day-to-day operations of the program. I’m so thankful to have her.”
In her collegiate career at Lees-McRae, Meyers started in 59 games and made 73 appearances for the Bobcats. Meyers averaged 25.8 minutes per game and held a shooting percentage of 42.0%. Meyers was named to the Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll Presented by Southern Recognition LLC in the summer of 2022 and earned Academic All-Conference Carolinas Honors Presented by Barnes & Noble College in the spring of 2022.
Meyers joins Jennings’ staff after being a Social Media Intern with the North Carolina AAU Sports where she spearheaded campaigns on social media platforms and maintained a strong social media and brand presence across all social media platforms.
