Arlington Baptist University names Williams as new WBB Head Coach

The Arlington Baptist University Athletic Department is pleased to announce Charles H. Williams as the new Head Women’s Basketball Coach! He is the third head coach in the history of the program.

Coach Williams is no stranger to the NCCAA and the ACCA; his trajectory running from 2007-2015 within each of those levels. While serving as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Dallas Christian College, Coach Williams won two ACCA National Championships in 2010 and 2013. In 2011 and 2013, Williams was named the NCCAA Division II Southwest Regional Coach of the Year and claimed the 2011 Southwest Regional Championship. Coach Williams also enjoyed a stellar playing career. A former Oklahoma State University starter and standout, he has been part of FIBA for over 15 years and has played professionally in more than 8 different countries.

With over 20 years of basketball experience as a player and coach both nationally and internationally, coaching several youth and adults teams, and investing in multicultural communities, Coach Williams pursues the mission to spread the gospel and extend God’s kingdom in underserved areas. With this purpose in mind, Coach Williams founded Elevate Your Game, Inc. Through the sport of basketball, EYG Inc. helps youth of all ages to think higher and break the negative cycles perpetuated in their environment.

As a husband, father, grandfather and faithful servant of Christ, Coach Williams’ dedication to elevate, educate and empower has allowed him to impact many lives through community outreach and youth development with the focus of sharing the Gospel and sharing the Good News.

We are so excited to have Coach Williams on board, and we look forward to the success of our Women’s Basketball Program under his leadership!
