Description: | Harris-Stowe State University has an opening as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach. The position is responsible for planning and directing the recruitment, conditioning, training, and performance of student-athletes, along with fiscal program management, for the Harris-Stowe State University Women’s Basketball Program. This position reports to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. This is a professional head coaching position and all of the duties of the position must be conducted in adherence with the policies, rules, and regulations of the NAIA, the America Midwest Conference, and Harris-Stowe State University. Employees in this job class may be subject to the terms and conditions of an employment contract, which is typically subject to review and renewal on an annual basis. This position directs an Assistant Coach in leading the team and its performance.
Principal Duties/Responsibilities
Education & Experience Requirements Minimum Qualification: This position requires a bachelor’s degree with five years of successful coaching experience at the collegiate level as an Assistant Coach or Head Coach; and/or seven years of successful high school coaching experience as a Head Coach with some collegiate coaching experience as an assistant coach. Must possess extensive recruiting, coaching techniques and skills, camp coordination and facilitation, community service, team building, team budgeting, and fundraising experience. Title IX, NAIA eligibility, and compliance experience are preferred. |
