Kilgore College seeks a new women’s head basketball coach and kinesiology instructor. Under administrative supervision of the college’s director of athletics, the role is geared to developing a regionally and nationally competitive team to enhance the team’s performance in the National Junior College Athletic Association’s (NJCAA) Region XIV. The Region XIV conference is one of the most competitive JUCO women’s basketball conferences in the nation. This is a national search for an individual who can provide direction and organize all aspects of the women’s basketball program with emphasis on high academic performance. The coach will develop and execute strategies for the recruitment of student-athletes. Some of the other key roles include organizing practice sessions and supervising support staff. Head coaches are required to teach 5 kinesiology courses per academic year, which includes teaching two women’s basketball team classes per fall and spring semester. This is an exempt level professional position which often requires working nights, weekends, and holidays beyond a 40-hour work week.
