Askins added to Women’s Basketball staff at Sewanee

Casy Askins has been announced as the new assistant coach for the Sewanee women’s basketball program. 

Prior to her arrival on the Domain, Askins worked as a high school physical education teacher at William Chrisman High School in Independence, Mo. Along with her work in the classroom, she also coached the viarsity girls volleyball and baksetball teams. 

During her high school days, the Rogersville, Mo. native played at New Covenant Academy. A two-time All-State selection and a All-District member all four seasons, she scored 2,312 points and added 1,066 rebounds in her career. 

A three-year letterwinner of the Evangel University women’s basketball program, Askins graduated with a Bachelor of Ars in K-12 Physical Education with an emphasis in Coaching.
