Quinnipiac Announces Two Additions to Coaching Staff

Quinnipiac women’s basketball head coach Tricia Fabbri has announced the addition of Kaitlyn Cresencia and Jasmyne Fogle to the program’s coaching staff. Cresencia will fill the role of assistant coach, while Fogle will step in as director of basketball operations and program development.

Cresencia comes to Hamden with both coaching and playing experience and was most recently an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. As a part of the Mercer staff, Cresencia helped guide the Bears to to SoCon Tournament Championships and two NCAA Tournament berths.

“I am so grateful to be joining Coach Fabbri’s staff here at Quinnipiac,” said Cresencia. “I’m thrilled for the opportunity to contribute to the continued success of this program and to serve the young women on this team, providing a top tier student-athlete experience and preparing them for life after basketball. Coach Fabbri is a proven winner and I’m excited to work alongside her staff to elevate this program to even greater heights!”

At Mercer, Cresencia was responsible for coaching the forwards, which included a conference Player of the Year, three All-Conference players and three All-Tournament Players, along with an Academic All-American honoree.

“Kaitlyn has a varied and extensive background with championship pedigree,” said Coach Fabbri. “She played for Coach Wilson and brings a passion for the game and life beyond the court!”

Before her time at Mercer, Cresencia worked at Princeton as an assistant coach during the 2017-18 season in which the Tigers won the Ivy Tournament and earned a 12 seed in the NCAA Tournament.  The New Jersey native earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Connecticut College in 2015, a Masters in Educational Leadership from Mercer in 2016, and was recognized as a WBCA Thirty Under 30 Honoree following the 2020-21 season.

Fogle makes her way to Quinnipiac via the Putnam Science Academy in Putnam, Connecticut where she worked as assistant coach, teacher, and resident assistant for the past year.

“I am very excited to join the QU family,” said Fogle. “The connection I already have with Coach Fabbri, her family, the coaching staff and the student-athletes is a great feeling. I am truly looking forward to the season. It feels good to be back home!”

Prior to her experience at PSA, Fogle was a graduate assistant for fellow MAAC program Iona from August 2018 to May 2020. While at Iona, she assisted with coaching, recruiting, scouting, and practice planning, as well as film, highlight, and media production projects within the program.

“Jasmyne comes highly recommended after a successful stint at Iona,” said Fabbri. “I’ve known her since her middle school days and we are thrilled to have her on staff “

Fogle graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Franklin Pierce University in 2017 and then earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Post University in 2018 and a Master of Arts in Sports Communication & Media from Iona in 2020.
