Riley Helmick has been named as the Interim Head Coach for Treasure Valley Community College Women’s Basketball.
Riley was born and raised in Ontario, OR. She graduated from Ontario High School in 2015, attended TVCC from 2015-2017, and was a member of the Women’s Basketball team both years. Riley holds the TVCC records for the most 3-pointers made in a single season and career.
Riley earned her Associates Degree from TVCC and transferred to Dickinson State University in Dickinson, ND. While there, she played basketball and golf from 2017-2019. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis on Sports Management from Dickinson State.
Riley returned to Ontario in 2019 and started working for the newly formed Ontario Recreation District and joined the TVCC Women’s Basketball team as an assistant coach.
Her goals for the 2020-21 team is to play hard and fast and battle for one of the top spots in the tough East Region of the NWAC. “We have a great group of girls coming in and Coach Young and I couldn’t be more excited!”
