UConn assistant women’s basketball coach Jasmine Lister has taken a leave of absence from her duties with the team for personal reasons.  In her absence, Jamelle Elliott, who served as an assistant coach on Geno Auriemma’s staff from 1998-2009, will provide support for the team as an assistant coach.

Lister, who was a graduate assistant for the women’s basketball team from 2014-16, is in her second year as an assistant coach for the Huskies.

Elliott, who officially began her new role on February 1, helped the Huskies win national championships as an assistant coach in 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2009 and was a standout student-athlete for UConn from 1992-96.
