Multiple sources have now reported to WHoopDirt.com that Towson University head women’s basketball coach Niki Reid Geckeler will become an assistant at Georgetown under new head coach James Howard. The Georgetown alum had been the head coach at Towson for the past four seasons where she compiled a 43-80 record. Reid Geckeler has previously served two stints as an assistant at Georgetown (1996-2002; 2004-08), and has also been the head coach at Howard University (85-75 from 2008-13).

An official announcement is expected shortly.
