Holy Family University head women’s basketball coach Melissa Dunne is pleased to announce the addition of two assistant coaches that will be joining the Tigers’ coaching staff this season. Dunne welcomes in Maegan Yelverton and Ashley Robinson.
“Maegan Yelverton possesses a tireless work ethic,” said Dunne. “She believes in providing a well balanced experience for our student-athletes. Her time at NC State under legendary Coach Kay Yow gave her a strong foundation for the fundamentals of the game and how to operate at a championship level. Maegan brings a high level of experience to our program and will be a great resource for our team both on and off the floor.”
Yelverton comes to Holy Family after spending the previous two seasons at Monmouth University as the Director of Basketball Operations. While at Monmouth she was responsible for all logistical, operational and administrative aspects of the program. Yelverton also assisted with on campus recruiting activities as well as served as the team’s academic liaison.
Prior to her time at Monmouth, Yelverton spent the 2013-14 season at Louisburg College and served as an Assistant Coach. The team finished 24-7 and won the Region X Tournament and advanced to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament.
Yelverton also had a coaching stint at Apex High School as an assistant in 2012-13 and was the team Manager for North Carolina State University for five seasons. She served as the team’s head manager for two years under Kay Yow and three years under Kellie Harper.
“Ashley is energetic and contributes a high level of playing experience,” said Dunne. “She is a local star, first at Archbishop Wood High School and then at the D-I level at St. Joseph’s University. Ashley has learned from outstanding coaches as a player, and she brings the same knowledge and passion as a coach. Ashley will be a tremendous addition to this program and our university.”

While at Saint Joseph’s, Robinson served as team captain from 2013-2015 and was a varsity letter winner from 2009-2015.
