I can confirm that at least three candidates have interviewed for the vacant job at Northwestern State. The three that I know that have interviewed are:

Brooke Stoehr – Assistant Coach Texas Tech. Has also been an assistant at Southern Mississippi, Arkansas Little Rock, and her alma mater Louisiana Tech. Helped lead her Tech squad to the 1999 Final Four.

Sandra Rushing – Head Coach Delta State. Won her 400th career game this past season. Has also been the head coach at Henderson State and UTEP (is a member of the UTEP Hall of Fame).

Emma Boozman – Head Coach Natchitoches Central High School. She is a member of the Northwestern State Hall of Fame after a great playing career there (1973-76). Has over 330 wins as a HS coach and has won two state championships.

A decision is expected here by the end of the week.
